As theres a bunch of us potentially going next year - we're mulling over the possibility of going for/ renting a tipi in the tipi field. Would be interested in views as to advantages/ disadvantages. Apols if repeating old thread.

How much? How much room? Nearby facilities?

I don't know about the Glasto ones site wise but an important tip is to not leave anything against the poles if it rains - as they work like drainpipes when it is raining.

just big enough for 6 people - would be a serious squeeze with more (and you only get 6 wristbands for the tipi area anyway). Showers were handy (a first for me a Glasto) but crazily busy at peak times. Also 5co77ie has hit the nail on the head as even after having our raincatcher adjusted twice we were still getting a fair amount of rain dripping into the tipi. And that was 2009! I imagine everything inside would need to be in survival bags if it had been 2007 rain levels (I took one with me for just this eventualtiy).

In short:

- handy to not have to lug tent
- potentially very wet - likely will be drier in a decent tent if there is a lot of rain
- solar showers good
- good location (between park and stone circle)

Due to increase it works out at £133 extra per person in 2010 with 6 sharing - make of that what you will! Nearly doubles entry price!

i was thinking about this next year to. think i will wait for more peoples oppinions
