having read the thread about the t rex tribute band playin on fri, and judging by how well bjorn again went down. How about as it is the 40th anniversary dedicating one if the tents on thurs when there isn't a lot going on to cover bands celebrating all the artists that have played, there are loads of them out there and a lot of very good ones, most of which would probably play for free just to come to the festie.
I for one would love to have a few beers and a bit of a boogie to some smiths/stone roses/rolling stones/Bowie on the Thursday, I am all for new bands playing and getting a bit of coverage on Thursday but I just think this would go down a whole lot better.
What do yuo think? Maybe post a few links to decent acts........
Bjorn again were a great opener... and I agree some kind of tribute to get the ball rolling.
However, I like the wednesdays and Thursdays of years gone by with NOTHING on. We sit, we chill, we walk, we explore, we chat to strangers... In this day and age, people feel like they have to be constantly entertained... Why?
