Well I was wondering did I make the "right " choices and who else would I like to see now if I get the chance and which of the many million cds I still have to buy shall I get next...so thanks guys
Such a varied selection which I think is a brilliant way of saying just how individual and wonderful the EOTR is and its participants.
Obviously some bands have got more mentions... Okkervil River, The Low Anthem, The Duke and The King and Richmond Fontaine!
Am already frantically buying tickets for more gigs...lol xx

In no particular order...
Joe Gideon and the Shark
Dan Sartain
Blitzen Trapper... or maybe the Travelling Band... or the last appearance of the Broken Family Band...

Only if it's uncool to appreciate a magnificent performance from genuinely talented musicians who can produce multipart harmony as well as pretty much any current live act in popular music and who are charming and self-effacing to boot. If so, my credibility's gone out the window too...

Explosions In The Sky - a perfect momment under the stars.
Neko Case - what a voice, what a girl......
Tallest Man In Europe - dunno if he only has the one trick, but when he does it so well, does it really matter?
Very honourable mentions to Dirty Projectors, Loney Dear and Richmond Fontaine.
I adore Okkervil River but don't think they did themselves justice, I had expected them to be the best live band of the weekend, by a country mile. Neko played the same stage at the same time the following night, and her sound seemed to fill the arena. Not so for OR. Now, if only I'd seen them in the woods....

The Low Anthem - I was nearly in tears, twice, during this set it was so beautiful
Effterklang
Explosions In The Sky
but place 3 and onwards was a close thing with half a dozen others
especially Loney, Dear

The more I read this the more I regret not going to see Explosions in the Sky, I just head it from a distance....but am now really getting into them (at last)
