Was it just me or did all the bars seem to be very very busy last year?
I did take my own cider but occassionally you run out of cans or just fancy something different.
The one in the walkway between the Other and Pyramid stage was soooo slow.
This just causes extra stress at a time when you want to grab a few pints and head towards the next performance. It was bad enough for me and i am over 6 ft tall and could hold my own - so to speak!
What did it feel like to you?
More bars please...

i think something needs to change at brothers.
when exiting, you risk spilling half the contents wi the crush of the queue. if its not a bigger bar, even some sort of organised queue system would be nice.

They had an organised queing system at the main stage bar at Leeds this year and it worked extremly well. Would recommend it for any busy bar area at a festival

I agree.... those 4 pint carriers were handy... until they got wet, split, and you lost all 4 pints. grrrr
these are better

However... I do think there needs to be more bars... especially in the Pyramid field.

No more bars there was enough there this year and even if they did do some extra bars for next year whose to say you would still not be stood in a line forever??

Yeah I thought the Qeues for the Brothers were a nightmare at times. Would like to see another Brothers stall somewhere other than at the Jazz/World

I found the brothers bar on the wednesday and thursday afternoon pretty crazy but i remember just strolling up and getting served straight away at other times. But another bar would be good.

What particular objection would you have to there being more bars?

surely if there are more bars split between the same number of people... then the queues will be lessened....!
Brothers is a nightmare at times... not so much the queue stampede, but if you're in the Dance field... its a bit of a trek to purchase a pint.

I think Brothers have said it's not financially viable for them to have another bar due to cost of the actual bar and then the cost of hiring a pitch for the week. So surely it would be better for the bar to be somewhere they can serve people from all 4 sides or at least 3 rather than just the front.
And I think some kind of fence so once you have got your ciders you can walk out easily rather than back through the crush
I like the fact that it's in the Jazz world as if it was more central the queues would be mental

We (Workers Beer Company) rolled out a new queueing system at Reading & Leeds this year which as far as I know was quite sucessful, it's possible it could be introduced to the busier bars near the main styages for Glastonbury 2010. I will find out at some point

Who needs more bars when you've got a 2 litre bottle of vodka and coke (or drink of choice) hanging around your shoulder with a piece of string!

I found it the same, even in the queues it didn't take all that long. If you consider how many people there actually are at Glastonbury, the lines could be so much longer, so I don't think it was all that much of a problem, though it does depend on what time of the day you go there.
Another bar may be a good idea, but I wouldn't say it's a necessity as there are so many others.

More Brothers bars needed. The other bars need to get their cider taps sorted out! Went so many time (like my cider!) and the friggin pumps were broke! hence a lot of the queues!

Cider bus and Real Ale tent never had really bad queues when I went, and nor did Brothers after Thursday. Only problem with Brothers was having to wade through the putrid vinegar mud.
My objection with the other bars is the gnat's piss they sell as lager.

yep, this was in use at Reading - although at first I thought it looked like a chore, however it worked very well, queue gets dealt with pretty quickly, and no pushing leading to spilled drinks , most times it felt pretty quick getting served
