End Of The Road has to be the best festival for schmoozing with the acts. Most of them can be seen around the place over the weekend and generally they're happy to talk to people, have photos taken etc.

One of the best for me was when a group of us ended up chatting to the guys from the Travelling Band after their show, and they signed CDs for us and generally chewed the fat. Great bunch of guys who should go places.

The most surprising though was bumping into the lead singer from the Broken Family Band at the benches by the food stalls on Monday morning. Hadn't expected to bump into any artists among the last of the veggie breakfasts

Yes, poor Sipperana had to watch out for me disappearing off randomly to go and say hello to some random artiste

They were always polite and friendly and happy to say hello, and some quite happy to chat for a few minutes :(

Mind you I was out-schmoozed by one of my friends who stumbled into Fleet Foxes, after their set, wandering along singing "As I went down in the river to pray" - and he joined in with them :(

Is it stalking or, as Otis P Crenshaw would have it, 'selective walking'?

My friend pointed out the inherent pointlessness when I mentioned to him on Friday night that I think I'd just seen Josh T Pearson. He is, after all, fairly difficult to mistake for anyone else...

Anyone else see the Low Anthem or Herman Dune playing table tennis?
