I was absolutely shocked, and it took me maybe five minutes before I realised they were making a film.....
They totally got me! Who else did they get....?

Ok, so I strolled into the Garden Stage area between Bob Lind's set and Bob Log III just as a band I hadn't heard of were coming onto the stage. They opened with their hit, "Domestic Dispute" which sounded really good, and just I was getting into it the drummer stops playing, comes down to the front of the stage, shoves the lead singer and shouts into the microphone "SWIPE IS OVER, AND <lead singer's name> IS A F***ING C**T!" before storming off the stage....

...no, it didn't GET me - the abundance of cameras, the advance warnings, and the stage announcements were just the 'slightest' give-away!!
Agree that the track they cut short (FOUR or FIVE times) was pretty good - shame they couldn't finish it off just the once........AND, good link to the film itself. Ta.

It's been premiered at Cannes today: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment_a...ts/10123542.stm (And in case you were wondering - "...former drummer for Swipe, a band who has split up in rather drastic fashion on stage at a local festival.")

Just been to see Tamara Drewe and, of course, how now seen the scene filmed at 2009's EOTR in the film.
Some good shots of the crowd from the stage but too quick to be able to see if I can spot myself. Need to wait until it is shown on the beeb (it is a BBC supported film) and record it to see if I can self spot.

I left after first two takes; I don't think I'm in it, crowd look far more enthusiastic in the film than the one I was in! No appearance cheque received so far.

Have found at least some of the EOTR footage, albeit dubbed into Italian:

Great Link....I know I'm right at the back of the crowd, leaning on the 'disabled' platform.
Can't blow it up large enough, but that's egotism gone mad......
