Nah I'm not really that sad, My summer was really long as it started early (June 10th).
Plus I'm starting college next thursday and I'm going to do a course that I really love
so life isn't really that bored. Also I've been really bored just sitting at home on the PC for
the past couple of weeks, none of my friends have been out since the all have jobs, I'm getting
one prettey soon I hope becuase I have recently had an interview with Robert Dyas so fingers
crossed for that! And your right, only 3 more seasons till glasto and 13 more weeks till
christmas!

Cheers,

Festie season mostly over now...does Freeze Festival in London in late October count?

Summer...been lovely, had its up and downs but worth breaking my Aussie trip for, especially the Orbital shows!!! Shame I aint going back (yet) but big lifechanging college course approacheth in 2 weeks and spending nearly every other weekend in Brighton for the past 6 weeks has certainly been bloody ace!

No festies for me at all next year though. But I think I did a damn good job of catching up on attending them this year after missing out the year before too.

And cos I aint returning to Oz now for at least 2 more years, I can squeeze in many more Orbital shows...

AND the weather was pretty lush all summer...tbh I cannot remember any really bad days.

I think when Glastonbury was one of the better weekends weatherwise you have to be pleased.

Yep Summer is over.  So how to survive the winter?  Preparing for Glasto next year is one.  For me it's the trailer tent project.
Also need a couple of Winter breaks.  Mrs Grumpyhack doesn't cope well with dark winters so we try to fix a couple of short breaks.  Last year we went to Palma in Majorcia in December.  Great and pleasant surprise.  Now gone very upmarket - not at all  British Pubs but five star hotels, good restautants and Guicci shops.
This year Paris in December and Nice in April and then the festy season can start.

Sounds very nice!

My Family are planning on going away February half term somewhere hot, Possibly Ghana! I'm not sure wether or not we will have the money by then though, but we will have to see how things go

Summers not over yet! We were bopping about Bingley yesterday at Bingley Music Live.

Why don't you guys with post festie blues get yourselves along to Alchemy in 2 weeks?
It's gonna be a superb one to round off the season that started with a hell of a blast at Bearded Theory in mid May  It's one of the efest regulars who is putting it on so lets support him ;)

For those further north than Lincolnshire there is Knockengorroch up towards Ayr to enjoy 16th - 20th September.
To start the season Bearded Theory has to be the way to go. bands booked, planning well under way, roll on mid May

And for those further north than that, there is Loopallu the same weekend.

Agreed on Bearded Theory though, brilliant start to the summer

Can't argue with either of you guys. Loopallu and Knockengorroch would be ace. Loop is too far time wise to travel for me (6 and a half hours on a good day and I'm also in Scotland!) Knock is not far from my doorstep but my efest mates are all going to Alchemy and we want to support The Alchemist

Get your tickets for Bearded soon because when the big announcement is made when the tickets  go on general sale they will all be snapped up! ;)

yeah it is a sad feeling  no more festivals, no more beaches

But at least I'm going on holiday in November, and then the Christmas holidays. Plus my first festival next yr will be in April(Bangface), so it least I don't have to wait for the summer for my first festival. But this month and October are boring.
