So I used to stay in Blue Campsite (oh how you are missed) but missed the last two years. This time had to stay in Red - how far?
Anyway, IYHO which is best, driving on the way out yellow seemed close to both the site and the carpark.

Yellow is v close to arena instead of queuing for the loos in the arena I found it quicker to go back to campsite only 5 minute walk.

Yellow don't allow BBQ's and red do. On the website it said that BBQ's are allowed in the campsites so we stocked up on loads of food and that, then we were told we weren't allowed to bring in our BBQ's!! The bloke said it's only red that they are allowed in!!
Other than this, as far as I am aware (never stayed in Red) they are hardly any different.
Yellow is closer to the Arena though!

Had friends who stayed in yellow (we were in red) and they had more room, closer to arena and not as much as a hike from the car park. Also heard the food was cheaper!
Yes the BBQ thing stinks. But i think i'd opt for yellow for next year.

Quite understand the reasons behind no bbq's...
On Friday night in the red campsite we spotted a toilet which had started to catch fire from where someone had slung a throw away bbq next to it!! It was right next to a bunch of tents and bearing in mind it was 2am in the morning it could all have turned out very nasty!!!!!!

Red's best because yellow is a sissy colour.
Seriously, there's no major difference apart from distance to the arena.

yellow for me, as having camped there this year and red last year would def not camp in red again
our neighbours have been great both times, but tbh i found i was camped near so many cocks last year just felt so much more mellow in yellow (lol). on the plus side for red better stalls (altho better food in Y
)
and yeah is also so much easier & quicker to get to the arena and from the car in yellow

Well I have now camped in Yellow and Red (this year) and must say that Yellow is a bit more chilled and you get more room. Having said that! We got to Red at 12.20 and it was rammed, we struggled to find anywhere to pitch our tent (there is no way all those tents had been put up in 20 minutes). We ended up in the 'Quiet Zone', as did everyone I knew that was going end up! It wasn't really quiet at all but you did have a bit more room and although you had little parties going on with some music playing we didn't have the fog horns going off all night and all night really loud parties, so did manage to get some sleep. I would def camp in the Quiet area again if I were in Red.

Very little difference to be honest.

They're all just fields with tents in them. It's the folk occupying them that make for a good camp site.

Yellow don't have showers so it is a cold tap wash - but that's what a festival is all about! I believe red has showers but always been yellow with my mates and we love it - and go for yellow over red every time!

to be honesty, ive been 4 times now and stayed in both, they are what you make of em, just 2 fields with tents in......... loads of booze.........loads of music and partying, its impossible for them to be diff or to have 2 diff types of people in each one like some people make out !
