As this was my first V festival I wasn’t aware of the whole drink token buying part. Anyway my partners and his friend went to buy the drink tokens on Saturday only to be ripped off by some scamming cow!

Both my partners and his friend gave the lady £70 each and walked away with what looked like the right amount of tickets as they seemed to tear in half on the perforated line. It was only when they went to the bar we realised she had given us £35 worth of tickets instead of £70! Surprise surprise when we complained she denied all knowledge.

We noticed at the time quite a few other people had this happen to them near us and were also complaining.

Apart from this we had an amazing time just a shame they rip people off like that.

I'm sure she wouldn't have meant it if it happened. Can you remember which booth it was?

All bar token staff have to declare how much money they have on them at the start of the shift and are subject to searches, so she would have no benefit in over-charging folk.

Perhaps she was just a complete cretin like most of the staff.

Weren’t they just, on the Saturday morning I walked round the whole of Weston park trying to find the showers only to be sent 20 different directions by the dum wit staff. Finally found a warden who had a fag hanging out his gob and said " oooh your fu**in miles away love, it’s at the back of green"

Not sure of the exact one as it was my partner who went but know it was the ones next to the Strongbow tent.
Funny enough she said she couldnt remeber them 5 min later and we would have to come back at 1am when they had counted up! Ha. Like anyone would be sober enough to remeber that!!

Well 35 tokens comes to £122.50 so they got a bargain!

I know of one couple being undercharged by just over £70.

Mistakes are made, as will always happen.

Having a can of cider in my hair was never my intention for V, so the shower came in quite handy!

The benefit could be getting her mate to queue up and  'buy' tickets from her and give them more than they've paid for.

I went to use my tokens and they forgot to take them from me, so I thought I will try this tatic again.  It worked about 15 times so I wouldn't bother buying tokens, just order your drinks and walk away, the bars are that crowded they are hardly going to come after you ! lol I think I got around £200 worth of drinks for me and my fellow friends.  They make enough money out of us anyways xx

I doubt any of the staff had friends there, given that we had all travelled down from Edinburgh to work it.
