Last time I was at leeds it was just on a day ticket so we didnt take any drink in.

Just back from V & it was easy to get drink into the arena but I've heard Leeds are more strict?

Any tips? Seen someone at V who had vodka in a suntan lotion bottle! But is it really worth the hassle or is it ok to chuck some vodka in a coke bottle in your bag?

They can be quite strict, it's easier if you're a girl caus you can just go to a bloke to get searched. Best bet is down your treousers and put a hoodie around your waist.

I shan't be revealing any really good ways because if everyoner does it they'll get wise to it.

ive only ever had drink taken off me once, and i've only missed one year since 2001. you've got to be a bit sneaky. lollapalooza was so easy, they don't pat you down!

I can't really see the point. You can't smuggle that much in, and 1/2 cans or half a bottle of vodka aint gonna make that much difference.

I'm just gonna buy it in the arena. At least it'll be bordering on cold.

Half a bottle of vodka won't make a difference?? you must have some serious resistance to spirits then??
Personaly I always sneak a half litre of vodka in as I don't need to piss as much and it's gets me drunk quicker. Plus the added bonus of saving some cash....ker-ching!!

i've always got in a two litre bottle of vodka with whatever ridiculous pop i can get my hands on (except for once).

my current favourite festival tipple is a box of red wine. take the box off the bag inside, get that in and you will be f**ked, plus it doesn't matter if it's warm.

i discovered two ways to get tinnies into the arena this weekend. First was putting it inbetween your jeans and your arsecrack, covering it with coat/shirt, second was wear a hoodie and put it in your hood

A couple of times I just held some behind my back, security didn't care.

I managed 3 cans at a time, every time. Had one took off me but it was more of a decoy than anything else.

We camped in brown , had a bit to drink by the tent , then on the walk to the arena we would down
a fair bit of lager and vodka.

By the time we got into the arena , we did not need a drink for a quite a bit !

Got 2 cans into the arena in 08 in the back of my wellies

But in 2009, i didn't really try, most likely cause we camped further away from the arena, so i drank more at "home" then chugged a few on the way to the arena, and if there was any left, down them at the entrance to the arena, hoping that it will last the full session your in there

My mate had a couple of pop bottles filled with vodka red bull. He put them in his trackies at the bottom behing his legs. Only tried twice and worked both times.

i got atleast 2 cans in everytime i went into the arena, its very easy just wear a belt put the cans between you and the belt and do it up as tight as you can, may hurt a bit but well worth it.

It can easily be done, back of wellies, sleves of hoodies tied around your waste. I think I managed to sneak between 4 and 6 in in 08.

In 09 though I didn't bother I just bought drink in the arena, its wonderful what saving up a little bit of money each time you get paid can do. Well worth it.

Buying in rounds isn't advisable though especially when theres 8 people in a round. By the time 5 or 6 are down you in the arena it can become mighty hard to find your friends, which means one of two things, you don't get a drink back because you bought one of the earlier drinks or your stuck with 8 pints and no mates. The second option is definatly more preferable though! haha

These methods usually serve me well, from memory i cant remember ever getting caught smuggling at leeds, maybe i just have a good poker face or look really innocent, coz my mate kept getting caught every time last year!lol

Think my record was 10 cans 1 year when i had some on my person and some more in my bag, which security chose not to check! i was the hero of my group for a good few hours for that.
