Glad Oasis didn't turn up

I've gotta say I wasn't all that bothered about seeing Oasis anyway - saw them in 2007 and they were good, but not outstanding. Now don't get me wrong i've been a BIG Oasis fan, but in terms of live 'shows' they're simply not as good at giving an entertaining show as many other bands.
With this in mind, i was very happy that Snow Patrol got the chance to headline, as THAT was an excellent visual and musical performance, and Gary Lightbody seemed properly chuffed that they were last on on Sunday.

Yup posted elsewhere that all in all it made my day - messed it around a bit (a teeny bit gutted that I missed MGMT) but I'm sure I ended up having more fun overall

I couldn't disagree more - I really wanted to see Oasis and absolutely gutted they cancelled. Even more pissed off about all the press I keep hearing - them being pissed at the Man City game.
Saying that, Snow Patrol done good.
