Been going to V since 2002 and while I enjoyed some aspects of this years festival, there were just too many people for the facilities that were there.
Bad points:
Queues for drink tokens.
Queues for drinks. Worst around the arena and C4 stage area and vars ran out of Barcardi Breezers.
Queues for toilets. Again, worst around the arena area. Had to wait around 30 mins each time.
Security/crowd control poor.
Far too busy everywhere but the arena area especially.
Not enough water points.
Poor line up this year compared to other festivals and other years at V.
Oasis cancelling. Not V's fault but still gutting.
Food prices. Seemed even more extortionate this year.
Ticket price. Expensive for what you get compared to other festivals.
Sound at the main stage gets lost because of the wind.
Good points:
People I encountered were friendly.
Far side of the Red campsite was quiet and chilled out.
The music. Highlights for me were Human League, The Happy Mondays and Dizzee Rascal.
Snow Patrol stepping in for Oasis and doing a pretty good job at headlining.
The weather!
Quality of food.
Overall, too much time spent in queues. Will have to be an amazing line up to get me there next year.
