What the hell was wrong with the main stage speakers..? I first noticed when listening to Starsailer that the high end seem to fluctuate in volume and the bass sounded a little flat. Then when Killers came on sometimes it felt like I was listening through a CB Radio!!!

Really, really awful! I gave up and went to see Fat Boy Slim (who was amazin' and sounded crystal-clear!).

Really disappointed, never seen Killers and was looking forward to it... bad show V  :D

Hope its fixed in time for Oasis. Lily Allen sounded alright  :)

The sound on the V stage sucked big time this year. C4 was so much better.

Its the wind, the E4 stage is in a bowl which contains the sound, even so the sound engineers should be able to sort it out

The sound on the C4 stage (which was previously the main stage until last year) is ALWAYS better due to the fact that the stage is down a natural gradient and sheilded a bit by the trees which keeps the sound in (although makes getting a good view from the side a bit challenging at times.

I actually thought that the sound overall, on all the stages, was much better this year than last, although the (JJB) Arena was still rubbish.

As far as the main stage was concerned, it depended on where you stood to be honest. I was further back, between the second set of speakers and the sound was spot on.

Mind you, The Killers sound was WAY quieter than Razorlight for some reason and I was disappointed too. A great gig, but not as good as their appearance in 2007, mainly down to the sound.

Best sound of the weekend has to go to the Mobile Union, Spot on for every act I saw.

They should never have moved the main stage away from the hill, but we know they did it to cash in on more ticket sales.

Agreed, I thought it was far better this year. Oddly enough, I sat way back listening to Starsailor whilst getting some food and we all agreed the sound was pretty near perfect. Standing a bit nearer and to the right on Sunday the wind was playing havoc though. Don't think there's much can be done about that.

We either went to the front of the stage between there and the sound hut or behind the second set of speakers otherise it was terrible. At first I though Ocean Colour Scene were terrible but moved and realised it wasnt them it was the set up.
Thought the same about james and realised it was just james!
