Yeah i'd say more like 2 hours... Much of a muchness whether you do North Circular round to A12 then up, or North Circular, M11, then M25. Roadworks on M25 at M11 round to A12 junction, which will be slow, my personal preference would be avoid the M25...

Thanks - gong to try to avoid the congestion charge - the aa routemap is very complicated!  Ditzy blonde!

If you look down the bottom right you'll see the route to Tower Bridge that avoids paying.

Try A205 (South Circular?) - A2 - M25 - A12     : ;)

Uhh i need simple directions from Gt. Dunmow to the red campsite ;) i know its only a few miles but i passed my test today and have the sense of direction of a blind man standing upside down!

B184 > A1060 then cut through Writtle to the A414 and turn left - that avoids you having to drive through Chelmsford!
