Two years ago i took my van (Renault Trafic) to V at Weston and had no problems getting onto the campervan pitches.  This year i now see that the T&C's state "no vans" only campers, caravans and trailer tents.

My Renault isn't a proper camper, but isn't a builders panel van either (it's got windows in the back etc).  I use the bloomin thing year-round for camping and it will be suitable kitted out, but now (with a week to go) i'm worrying that we're not going to be allowed entry.

The usual lack of response from V organisers leaves me somewhat in the dark!

Anyone have problems last year?

Help!  :P

there's notmally some rule or other that they use to decide. Think Glasto is that you have to have fixed cooking or toilet facilities in your van.

I seem to remember last year it was a fixed bed (not just a matress) and either a sink with water or a fixed stove

i think they generally always state something similar in t&c's, but there is always vans let in, it's awnings and tents they have a thing about, but you can get away with those too....

They make the rules strict to put people off, however, they are always pretty slack with the rules once your there anyway.

You will be fine.

If they say you can't come into the campervan bit then you just park in the carpark and sleep there

My friend went last year in her "van" and it was fine, her's is definatly a van

But it does say No Vans, so that would be any vehicle with a load liner,

The cool thing about V is the roads in are rubbish - by the time you get to any form of 'checkpoint' you won't be able to turn around anyway - They aint got the time or space to be spinning you round and finding you away out .

Well every year at V the old London Double Decker Bus manages to get parked up without any probs, so I can't see any issues with your van & its side windows...
