to play 2010?
With Blur and Blink 182 looking possible, why not make it a trio of reformed headliners?
Id have to go for Talking Heads.
Closely followed by Stone Roses, The Beach Boys, NWA and Black Sabbath

Talking Heads, Pavement, Public Image Ltd, Boards of Canada, New Order. Though not sure any of them are really Reading/Leeds sort of thing these days.

I'd love the Stone Roses, but Talking Heads as headliners? No, won't appeal to today's Reading demographic I think. Blur probably not, they said T in the Park was their last ever. Which is a shame, they were ace at Glasto.

I'd imagine The Libertines are a good shout to headline next year along with a Green Day/Blink 182 combo and maybe AC/DC or muse iron maiden? Could be a bit heavier next year

Does Richey Edwards coming back count?
Although additionally Longpigs, I would love to see them!

Led zeppelin.

The Libertines.
But only if they do a proper reunion tour and record new material. If they just come back for one pay day I'd rather they stayed away.

I wouldnt want a trio of reformed bands. They can be fun but very rarely are as good as they used to be. I think the organisers should be looking to gamble on thenext generation of headliers but from a business sense it probably makes more sense to go for the safe bets.

my biggest frustration with festivals is that they never take a gamble on headliners. its alwyas the same on tired bands that headline.

Personally I'd love The Postal Service to reform and play.
I imagine that in the NME or FR would be immense.

If Sir Benjamin Gibbard is at Reading I'd like him to be there with Death Cab.
