Hey guys;

Just to let you know that we are putting on Europe’s biggest Extreme Sports festival next month, September 18th to 20th, on Brighton Beach.  Its going to be absolutely insane, with loads of epic sports you have heard of and probably a fair few that are new to you.

Here are just some of the sports that will be taking the festival by storm;

Aquathlon
BMX
Bocking
Capoeira
High Diving
Inline Skate
Jet Ski
Kayak
Kitesurfing
Land Yachting
MMA Martial Arts
Motocross FMX
Mountain Biking
Mountain Boarding
Orb
Parkour
Rollerskis
Sailing Dingy
Scuba Diving
Skate
Street Boarding
Street Dance
Surfing
Triathlon
Wakeboard
Windsurfing

and there are so many more sports on top of these that you will definitely find one that gets you hooked.  There will be loads of Pros there from all of the sports, and they will be offering their advice and tips from the top.

There is also the opportunity to give the sports you like a go, whilst riding next to the Pros.  Numbers are strictly limited though so be sure to book in advance, which is easy to do through our website.  Just click the ‘Have a Go’ link on our homepage.

This festival is not purely about sport though, there is also a star studded music line up that will be playing throughout the three days.

Headlining the music for the event are Biffy Clyro on the Friday, and the Doves and The Cribs on the Saturday. With support from some of the best British bands such as White Lies, this festival has it all.

The Lemonheads have recently confirmed their spot at the festival and complete a strong line-up with British Sea Power.

Here’s the Line up for Friday 18th September;

Biffy Clyro
White Lies
British Sea Power
The Boxer Rebellion
Doll & The Kicks
Flood of Red
Lyrebirds
This City

The Saturday is equally as good;

Doves
The Cribs
Lemonheads
Sky Larkin
Natty
White Belt Yellow Tag
Ben Howard
+ guests

The Sunday see’s the best of the local talent around Brighton heading up the Argus Live Stage, while all the sports reach their climax on the final day. It’s set to be a great weekend. For more information, visit the website: www.whiteair.co.uk

Hi, I've got a ticket for the Sat. Do we have to pay for all the sporting extras or is that included in the ticket price?

Cheers!

The Ticket covers everything! It isn't just entry, it gives you access to the whole festival, apart from obviously behind the scenes!!

Interested in getting a day ticket. Few questions:

Realistically, how many sports could you try out on a day?

Are there likely to be spaces on the day for people who haven't booked?

The website says "Some courses are free and some require an extra fee" - which sports cost extra? I'm assuming stuff like windsurfing and Jetskiing but how much extra are we talking about?

Once you've booked a place on a course, do you have a set time and place or would you still need to queue?

Do you need to bring your own equipment or sportswear? Eg wetsuits.

How long do the courses last? Eg scuba diving - is this likely to be a short lesson in a swimming pool or do you actually get to go for a proper dive? Surfing - the website says "the lessons will consist of a 15 minute session on the beach with X-Train’s qualified instructors, designed to give you a taster of the basics of surfing"... 15 mins seems very short, do you even get to go into the sea in that time?

Assuming the free courses are just a short introduction, will there be the option to pay for a longer session?

Do the sports run at the same time as the music?

What time does it start and finish?

Are there lockers? Changing rooms? Showers?

Sorry for the number of questions but I'm really not sure what to expect from this festival based on the information on the website.

What he said above. Also, the 'have a go' button on the website no longer works.

At least six, maybe more.  How much stamina do you have?

Are there likely to be spaces on the day for people who haven't booked?

Yes, but have a go places go fast, so can't guarantee that in all sports.

The website says "Some courses are free and some require an extra fee" - which sports cost extra? I'm assuming stuff like windsurfing and Jetskiing but how much extra are we talking about?

Some sports providers charge a fee - we don't have the complete list.

Once you've booked a place on a course, do you have a set time and place or would you still need to queue?

Set time and place.

Do you need to bring your own equipment or sportswear? Eg wetsuits.

Yes, always a good idea, but the sports provider will advise you.

Most are just tasters - 15 mins is long enough to get a feel and the scuba does include a dive session in a pool.

Assuming the free courses are just a short introduction, will there be the option to pay for a longer session?

Yes, but for a later date, not at the festival.

Do the sports run at the same time as the music?

Yes, then beach activities stop at 6pm.

What time does it start and finish?

10 - 10 fri and sat, 10 -6 on sun

Are there lockers? Changing rooms? Showers?

No I am afraid that with the number of stages and events taking place there isn't room.

Hope that has cleared up those questions.  Feel free to ask any more.  What day were you thinking about heading down?
