News today they dont want to release a new album, and dont see them releasing one for a very long time, if ever...

meaning if they were to play at glastonbury, its more than likely to be all known songs...

bit like blurs set then id imagine...only with like...er...radiohead songs..

they said they might release a single here and there but no album...

:(

google it...instead of asking for a link....

They havn't played anything from In Rainbows at Glasto yet though so that would be new. Thankfully it's a brilliant album...

Or a twist on that Reggae band that covered them at Glasto this year...and therefore play out Radiohead versions of Bob Marley maybe?

No more Radiohead Albums?  Music to my ears.  Brilliant news.

Greatest Hits?  A bloody short set then IMHO!

I was under the impression that they wanted three headliners who hadn't played before?  That's one of the things I like about Glasto over other fests, they do try to get different headliners ; it's not like V with the Oasis / Killers / Clodpay on rotation.

id be astonished id they dont play - its the big 40, theyve dropped what is considered by many to be the greatest headline slot in its history, and they havent played for 7 years - thats a big enough gap.

and without a new album to promote the set will be hit/fan favourite heavy - lets see what they do at Reading in couple of weeks to get a feel for the type of set possible

I wouldn't watch them, but of course there is plenty of other things to do, but you could pretty much apply the same argument to Oasis or Clodpay, couldn't you?

ummmm..I read that they've just finished a new album, but that this could be the last but i coulde be mistaken...so one more release to go??.also thom says a similar thing every time they finish an album, as do other exhausted artists..i really wouldn't read much from this regarding a setlist next year

Regardless of whether or not there's a new album, they're evidently still writing and recording - having released a new song last week!

Besides, Radiohead set lists are always a mixture of one or two 'biggies' and a lot of album tracks. A purely 'Greatest Hits' set would be a bit boring I think.

More about Radiohead? Sad to say folks but there are plenty of other bands out there who deserve to play Glasto next year or any other.

v06 was pretty much a greatest hits set and it worked well. They still threw in numbers you wouldn't expect such as the gloaming though

Correct... in fact just a 'set' would be boring!
