any locals or regulars know where i could go n stay cheaply on the thursday night,save leaving extra early on the friday?

theres a couple of small hotels in Shifnal, try the link below though and look for the welcome break on junction 4 of the m54, thats a decent shout

Sorry, yeh, days inn, its at the welcome break service station. just one junction away from V so would be perfect for you really.

Hiya the best place to stay would be the travel lodge at telford train station, its a left out the station on to the A5 and you'll be at weston in less than 10minutes. Were local and its the route we use for the festival every year, theres never any traffic as the only people using the road are generally people from telford and shrewsbury, cant beat it

sorry my mistake its the premier travel inn thats at the station, but regardless telford is a good place to stay to get to weston quickly, good luck!

all the above are good shouts - I grew up in the area and know it well. You may struggle though this close to the event!

I have just booked one for £35 and its less than 8 miles away

We booked through laterooms.co.uk put a few in weston/telford/stafford/wolverhampton in the end we got a place in Shifnal 5 miles away from the park for £30 including breakfast!!

we wont get there till about 8ish (have to drop little people at grandparents first) but we will nodoubt see you there, I will look out for the person with the pumpkin for a head

Actually we're not planning on arriving much before 8 or 9 as we have 150 miles to come but I'm sure you'll see us around. I'll try and put an actual photo up on the id thread later.
