Hi all,
I'm an author of hard hitting crime novels and a big fan of rock music. If anyone's interested, you can check out my review of the Sonisphere Fest here:

Nice review dude, i agree with most of what you said, not too subjective and you don't come across as pompous but well spoken and considered.

That's a really good review mate - well written, comprehensive, and it gives a real feel for the event. It needs a few minor edits in places where you overstress some points (something you alude to at the top of the post), try not to use too many cliches (this occurs mostly in the opening, where you use - return to form/spiritual home/hairy metalheads/rock and roll mayhem/pretenders to the throne in quick succession), and there's a couple of times where you become a little bit too subjective (e.g. saying that the Prodigy were better than Slipknot, even though you hadn't seen both sets), but these are small quibbles about a great piece of writing. Good job!

Cheers mate. I'll be posting reviews for V and Reading in the next couple of weeks if you're going. In the meantime, check out my website for info on my hard hitting rock 'n' roll crime fiction:
