just noticed this today, apparently there will be no campfires. anyone think they'll enforce this? camping without a fire is like shagging without a woman.

It seemed to be pretty well enforced at T in the park.
Once you have witnessed the delights of reading, a ban on fires doesn't seem so bad!!

i've been to Reading 6 times. i know it can get out of hand, but surely they could just.... keep an eye on things. i thought part of the point of having late night entertainment was to keep people occupied.
banning campfires but allowing barbecues isn't gonna stop people setting fire to things.

The problem with reading isn't so much the fires getting out of hand (although they often do)
the problem is, you can't breathe in the campsite. Leeds didn't seem quite as bad I didn't think. Maybe it was because it was just the toilets on fire and not plastic and gas canisters!!
