I have just arrived home today and am absolutely wrecked and in need of lots of sleep but before i do this i would like to offer a few thankyou's

Firstly to the people of Benicassim for putting up with all 35,000 crazy people who decamp every year to your door steps, take over the bars and restaurants muchas grasias to you all.

Next to all the people who worked at the festival and around the town, I have been going to festivals for a long time and have never felt so welcome.

Finally the biggest thankyou to the 35.000 nut cases to desended on the town, i have never had as much fun and met as many people as i have over the last 8 days, special mention to the 3 girls who lost all their stuff on friday night but still managed to keep a smile on their faces, the geordie army man who has to be the funniest guy i have ever met during oasis, the lovely girl working at both the holiday Inn and in town at one of the restaurants (21 hours a day she was working) always with a smile on her face.

To those people who had their tents and belongings go missing im really sorry for you that this happened and hope that it did not spoil your holiday too much

the last thing to say is verlo el próximo año Benicassim 2010:D

I'll second those words!

Just got back from my first Benicasim and it was beyond incredible. Even though we got caught out in "huricane pedro" on friday night, it just made people double up and go harder on saturday.

Definately one of the best festivals I've attended

It was also my first Beni, in fact my first ever festival, and it was such a brilliant experience .. even though i got travel sick from sitting in my tent during that storm because it was moving about so much HA! Organisation could have been improved, yeah..but who cares! still brill. Taking a bench from the shower area for our communal tent area was our best brainwave...

My 4 friends' tent collapsed in that storm and blew away, they had to sleep on lilos out in the open..they said the dust was disgusting in the morning, in their nose and hair and eyes and mouth and just everywhere!! But it was funny in hindsight! we also managed to get 3 green plastic san miguel garden chairs from one of the cafes in the town and take them home in the trolley, they were lifesavers!

Beni was by far the best week of my life.
i couldnt beleive when i heard how bad the wind was in FIB camp.....we mustve been pretty well sheltered in Benicamp cus i slept like a baby!! bit of a mess in the morning with a few tents strewn evertywhere but it wasnt too bad like.
Is this just a myth or did 3 people die on the Friday night??

Beni was absolutely amazing! I went on my own and within an hour of pitching the tent was mates with half a dozen people! Highlights were Franz Ferdinand and 2 Many DJs but the rest were brilliant too - the silent disco was a ball!

Winds were something else - but other people have got it spot on - it did bring people together! We all went back to the campsite and there was about 20 of us just having a chilled out beer as the carnage ensued around us. At one point a tent just flew by us - I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life!

So, when's Beni 2010?!!
