Think people may be mixing the two things up.

Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and JPJ are making an album and hopefully touring.

I doubt Elbow will headline the Pyramid Stage, surely they're not big enough yet? Other Stage headliners wouldn't surprise me though.

They were really big early 00's (2001-2002) but after that short popularity they are nowhere near big enough to headline the whole event. I could see them headlining the other stage or third from top on pyramid but again nowhere near big enough to headline.

As for Main Stage headliners, i'm not fussed but I think we will get something like:

Friday: The Smiths
Saturday: Radiohead
Sunday: Rolling Stones/ Led Zep (or some other really really mind bogglingly big band)

Cheers,
BlackHole2006

the smiths would be absolutely amazing but i just cant see it happening with the way morrissey and johnny marr feel about each other and marr is pretty busy ruining the cribs at the moment, i wouldnt be suprised if morrissey makes an appearance second on the pyramid on sunday night in the same slot as Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen had would be pretty good, when the sun sets on the festival

I would be amazed if a previous Pyramid stage headliner returned to a lower slot on the same stage*.

* not saying that this hasn't happened before, but I doubt Morrissey's ego would permit it.

Ah - good point.  My mistake - I seemed to remember him headlining, but I'll put that down to Alzheimers.    Still, I wouldn't want him back without a full Smiths reunion.

My unexplained point was that if Franz do the obvious 'secret' gig in 2008 then headline the Other Stage this year, & with Klaxons having an album out surely before Glasto 2010, I'm following the same logic for Klaxons 09 to 10.

Well considering their performance this year, i couldnt imagine they'd want to play next year they stood no chance headlining after pendulum

Pyramid

-Daft Punk
-The Cure
-U2

Other

-The Fratellis
-Kasabian
-Pendulum

Dance east/west

-Justice
-2 Many DJs
-Lemon Jelly
-MSTRKRFT
-Hot Chip
-Fat Boy Slim

Jazz

-Manu Chao
-The Cat Empire
-Reel Big Fish

The only problem with this lineup for me is that every single night I would have a 3 or 4 way clash with the headliners!

Do enough people still give a shit about The Fratellis to warrant them headline the Other Stage?

I think Mozzer did not particulary enjoy his last Glasto performance , and I presume that with him
touring heavily this year , then 09 would have been his year if he was to return.  I suspect he will
take a bit of a break next year.
