I'll be going on Sunday!  Wanted to do Saturday as well, but none of my girlies fancied it!

A few of my mates are going Sunday but I couldn't stretch to it this year and wanted to see Duran Duran and N*E*R*D.  Groove Armada will be brilliant though.

All weekend, there's four of us on Saturday and a massive gang on Sunday!

It was a cracking weekend last year and the line-up is even better this time around - i can't wait!

I'm going on both days. There's quite a lot of us coming down from Leeds. Can't wait - will be the first time I've been. Any reviews on last year?

I'm coming from Leeds too (driving down on Friday to go to London Zoo on the way).

Went for the first time last year for the full weekend and absolutely loved it. I usually camp at fests, so it was a first for me going home every night (my friend lives five minutes walk away). It's brilliant being able to have a shower, a good feed and a skinful before you enter the arena and the vibe is really really friendly.

There's a brilliant food selection - i think a lot of the places from Borough Market have stalls there. I went primarily for the bands, but there seemed to be plenty of other stuff going on - there was a massive organised fruit fight and this year there's a bowling alley. Musically it was excellent last year - pretty eclectic with a bit of something to suit everybody's tastes and plenty of opportunity to wander around catching new bands - you can get from one stage to another really quickly. Groove Armada didn't headline this year, but they did play and i can't wait to see them do a longer set this year.

My only gripes were that it took a while to get into the arena last year (i think Alphabeat played to an empty field) but hopefully that will have been resolved this year through people purchasing wristbands beforehand. Queues for the bars did get terribly busy at times, so hopefully they'll be staffed better or there'll be more of them.

Maybe see you there! Have a good un!

Hey, thanks for your message.

Well you've definitely sold the Lovebox to me and I am so glad that I'll be going now, it was a totally last minute thing as was supposed to be in Benicassim   . I, like yourself, am used to camping at festivals so this will be something different for me - although not yet sorted digs for the weekend - always so last minute!

Queues for bars are always my biggest gripe, they'd make loads more money if they staffed them properly as I tend not to drink as much as I would because I hate queuing.

Thanks again for the heads-up about the festival, much appreciated. Enjoy London Zoo (lucky) and have a great time at the fest!

Hey,

I was thinking about going to this as we are down in London for the night on Saturday (I'm from Aberdeen).

I don't know London at all so had a couple of questions.

Would I be able to buy a ticket at the gate?
How far is this place from the o2 arena (my hotel is right beside there as it was more convienient at the time)

Cheers,
Stu

I reckon you will be able to buy tickets on the door . . . and if you can't get one from the official box office, I'm sure you will able to buy one from a tout . . . not that I condone ticket touting, should you ask!!!!!!

It's not that far from the O2.  Take the Jubilee line to West Ham (2 stops), then the District line to Mile End (3 stops) . . . it will probably take you around 30 mins.
