A little spin-off from one of the other threads regarding how thorough the tickets were checked during the entry process....

Did your assigned entry steward look at your photo??

Yep, checked the photo and got me to take my hat (pink for the EFests Singles / Gay Meet) and sunglasses off.

I guess the question should be.. 1. Did they look on 1st entry and if appropriate 2. on subsequent entry? I'm not convinced they ever looked at my picture after the first time (when they definitely did)..

Mine got checked twice and both times it was a kind of double take moment for the stewards, cos in my picture I had quite quite blonde hair, and well now I have the total opposite! Fortunately they recognised that the face was the same only the hair was different lol!

For the last 3 years I have been in with shades on (in 07 had a hat as well) and I have never been asked to take them off.

Nope, the steward didn't look at my photo I don't think, just as well as it is rather hideous

I think mine sort of glanced at the photo but didn't ask me to remove my hat and sunglasses so I don't think he was at all bothered

The steward made me take off my sunglasses and hat and then he (rather angrily, I thought) told my boyfriend he should have shaved (my boyfriend was clean shaven in the photo and had a beard on the way into Glasto). So they definitely payed close attention to ours!

Yup, checked mine then it made me wonder how many of the folks who were planning on just rocking up and trying their luck managed to get in.

I've had mine checked at least once every year but never had to remove hat/sunnies or anything. Usually get a comment about the piccy being rather 'formal' or some other cheeky remark as I'm wearing a suit and tie etc. and look *very* serious because it's a pretty old official piccy previously used for passports, driving licence and other security stylee things. In fact I've used the same piccy every time to date and it was donkey's years old to start with !  Just happened to have a spare one lying around to scan and couldn't be @rsed getting a new one done and all that. The only thing I have noticed is that in the last year or so, tickets weren't being checked at Castle Cary as they always used to be but definitely checked going in and when getting wristbanded at PGA anyway.  Anyways, about the only thing that's really changed on the piccy front is the ever thinning hair usually concealed under the festii hat in any case of course but other than that, it's still a pretty good likeness and easily verified as being kosher.

makes sense imo asking people to remove hats/sunglasses on entrance,

Mine got check on the way in and on the couple of times we went back to the car for supplies of the liquid variety - each time they asked me to remaove my sunnies and hat and had a real good look!  To be fair, I didn't think that my photo looked that diferent - but I suppose it must!!

Yep i was checked for a couple of moments! - was suprized as last year they didnt look at all.
