I may "retire" next year - assuming I get tickets, that is.
The festival is 40 - I managed to pass that landmark a while ago, so maybe its time......
That said, as I pottered about at the site at 2:45 am on Wed/Thu looking for that elusive late night "magic moment" , it occurred to me the various teens and twentodds that were in our extended group this year, but long since asleep, are all a bit lightweight.
No stamina these kiddies - I blame the parents....

I quite agree, I am so much better at Glastonburying than I was at my first aged 20. I can pace myself and make sure I see my 3 or 4 essentials for the day, whilst getting random weirdness from time to time. Then come the last act I care about I can then remove myself to one of the more obscure areas and party like it's the last night on Earth.
In the early days it was much more of a social event for big groups of us, resulting in us getting pissed in time for the band of the moment on a massive stage, and then retreating back to the tents to shout bollox, and pass out.
Love it more and more every time, and will be there next year come hell or high water.
