I'm hoping for:

U2
Coldplay
AN Other Big Generic Band

Just so I have no reason to go near there next year and can enjoy the rest of the festival.

I only went to the pyramid twice, for madness and Blur, and it was 2 times too many. (though Blur were amazing)

totally predictable but it has to be radiohead for me.
they are my choice and i saw a quote from michael along the lines of....."there are a few regulars who havent played for a while"
so i guess he means radiohead, coldplay and maybe oasis.
rem and faithless would be good too.

second thoughts, neil young to headline each night.......perfect

I think their should be 3 and half days on the mainstage, a couple acts on the Thursday night to open the festival.

Mainstage
Thursday - Daft Punk
Friday      - Muse
Saturday  - *big older act - U2, Pink Floyd, The Who, David Bowie etc etc*
Sunday    - Foo Fighters

Other Stage
Friday - Paul Weller or Morrissey
Saturday - Biffy Clyro
Sunday - Kanye West

Thought I'd say Other Stage also so it's a bit more balanced!

Forcing me to choose between Muse and Paul Weller is just cruel

Make it Weller under Muse and im stoked

Muse, eithier Metallica or Rage Against the Machine (I know itl never happen!) and perhaps the Stones would be nice :(

Daft Punk would be ace as well.

Sort of with you on this. "Vanilla/Beige" bands headlining on the Pyramid do make it easier to get around the place and see crazy weird stuff at just the right time of the night.

I saw Regina Spector, Specials, Amadou et Mariam, Madness and Blur this year on the Pyramid. None followed the others, which meant I could get nowhere near. I much prefer to watch acts with smaller crowds. Putting a band I want to see on the Pyramid presesnts me with a dilema.

As it's a big, commemorative year ... Hawkwind should play a key role of some sort.

as should David Bowie*, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan*, Cream/Clapton,  Paul & Ringo, er...who else, lol...

aretha franklin, stevie wonder, oasis, the jackson 4 [oops, sorry], maybe kings of leon, Melanie [definitely not maybe], james taylor [who was at 02 last nite], Steeleye Span, metallica, lou reed/velvet underground, dr john the night tripper, sinead o'connor, not u2 purleeze, stones if poss, the pretty things, them, tangerine dream [ooooh yes please], santana,  led zep, kate rusby, rolf harris*, neil young*, leonard cohen*, dufffy maybe lol, lotsa folk and roots bands/singers, pink floyd in some shape or form, tenek, kate bush [definitely not maybe], leona lewis [definitely not maybe], the levellers*, sex pistols, the moody blues, osibisa, van der graaf generator, deep purple, midnight oil. pity judee sill is long dead - tut.

the idea from worthy farm is to have a major artist from each year from 1970 onwards, i understand.

*already played glasto. has sinead o'connor been to glasto...

It's a given that Led Zep, the Stones, Bongo and the Tax Dodgers, Coldplay, Radiohead, RHCP and Pink Floyd would all be really rather snoresome so I'll go for

Daft Punk
Take That
Dolly

Ideal Headliners would be David Bowie, Prince & Radiohead/Muse with Bowie also playing the whole of Ziggy Stardust at a secret set at the Park, with Pixies, Flaming Lips, Morrissey,The Shins, Weezer, The Postal Service & Modest Mouse all making appearancesthat would be epic
