jammy2211
Hope they get the extended license - I'll hold off buying my train tix before seeing if the Wed license is granted.
kittycat100
Well, it is basically traffic, in the sense that if you make sure every coach arrives ten minutes apart, they don't cause a traffic problem. Call me a cynic but I really don't buy the green argument for coaches anyway. Yes, they're greener than cars, but that is negated if people are driving anywhere from five to fifty miles there and back to get to the coach point, which undeniably happens when coach and ticket packages are the only way of getting a ticket near face value. As for trains, the carbon figures that are quoted for trains assume all seats taken, with nobody standing. On Monday in particular trains are at least twice this full, and the chances are that people live far closer to *a* train station than to the coach point. dakyras
"I have never done it before and this is the first year I have decided to go early. If they had pre warned about early birds then this would be a different matter but we had planned to go Wednesday this year and we are determined to do so. I have put a shitload of money into this festival over the year so to reiterate MY point, I WILL be there Wednesday and they WILL let me in " Thats the attitude i like to see, buy the ticket take the ride!!!!!! I have never before given a shit about the Police i'm not starting now. They may ask me to move on, i will go round the corner and smoke a big fat join* until they give up or fuc* off. i did it last year and will do it again. If you can't be arsed to try fair enough but dont get pissy because others want too. When did rock music give a shit about commercialism and establishments. One more thing, for £185 i'll turn up when i like!!!!!

I think that i am valid in what i am saying and if you disagree fair enough, but you dont have to be a twat about it. Hope to see you at the festival so i can show you what i truly think of you and people like you. Have fun you ignorant twat

kittycat100
This guy? Consider it on my to-do list. Probably too late to make much of a difference this year though

beLIEveR
Oh yeah, almost certainly, but if its done promptly for right after, or even before (poosibly with a follow up 'I told you so') then its probably at the time to have the most impact and when most could be done about it. Marshall
I got a wednesday ticket as an earlybird last year and glad I did as I didn't want a coach package, I live in london and can easily get the train. I'd rather not go on the wednesday though. I only do because to get a better spot. Just wish it would open on thursday for everyone like the early days. samc86
I always remember going on wednesday, it was a much smaller amount of people who did. Then they decided to capitalize on the little 'secret' which was turning up wednesday.

Azzy G
However there will still be no onsite box office and you will not be able to purhase one of these Wednesday tickets on the door.
dakyras
I know there wont be a box office, but preventing people buying on the door is silly, if they already have a weekend ticket then they have nothing to lose, only to gain, another £10 in their pocket and another happy customer, its worked fine every other year just turning up a day early and paying when you get there, its not like they have a maximum capacity so long as that person has a weekend ticket
MM Punk
I really hope they don't sell any on the door and don't let anyone without one in. I dunno what's wrong with people. They've been told they can't get them, yet they'll still turn up. It's frustrating for the people who actually made the effort to get the ticket in the correct way. kittycat100
Bollocks. I havent got a wed pass because i didnt want to go on a bloody coach. If they had put them on sale like they have done for previous years then id have one, as would many others, and we wouldnt need to turn up on wed without a ticket. They decided to sell them as coach packages only. They must have foreseen this problem. You sound rather smug because you have one.
lukeyboy
Whining = poor form. However (prepare for whining), this is a real pain in the arse for people who wanted to go down on the Wednesday but can now no longer get Wednesday tickets due to already purchasing train tickets (me) or not being able to book time off this short in advance (my friends). I have no intention of turning up on Wednesday and trying to blag my way in but the organisers should have a word with themselves for fudging this up so bad. I'm actually guessing this may have been intentional so as to decrease the amount of people coming down on Wed, due to not being able to get out of work or not being arsed with paying for more rail tickets. In other words (or just one): BOOOOOOOOOOO!
