I really missed the cinema field this year.

The relocation of the indoor cinema was a bad idea in my opinion.
And I didnt like the new rules of having to exit everyone and then go and cue again!!

Was a shame to loose the outside cinema too, was good going there after the bands finish and chill out with  a wax flare and a blanket :)

Hope they re-adress this next year

lol what, after the film finishes you have to leave, queue up again and re-enter?

urgh that sucks

i haven't been to the cinema at all, in 07 i didn't even realise there was a cinema field, but tbh that sounds a lot better , a massive field..plenty of space

Exactly, last year and 07 (and presuambly before), you could just stay inside and wait for the next film.
Or sit outside.
Was nice to have a choice of films too.

I have to say it was a bit annoying that large fence round that area that was apparently for 'crew' camping, I had  a peek through a gap in the fence only to see those bloody pod pads!  Making us walk the long way round so the rich can be fenced off from the rest of us was a bit of a pisser,

I also thought it was a shame that the cinema tent had moved - it made the Acoustic field seem really small, and at times, sitting just outside the Acoustic tent, I couldn't hear the performers over the noise from the cinema.  But hey ho, they have to try these things i guess.

Agree, agree, agree. But I think it was a shame because of the lack of room to sit out by the Red Flag (referred to amongst my friends as the 'real ale stage') and the field was full of kids. Please put the cinema back miles away thank you.

very true. we rocked up well excited to see a double header of Anvil and th Tap, got their wandered in without anybody mentioning anything about the rules and watched the last few minutes of Ferris Bueller. as people left we found a nice spot for our group of 7 only to be told we had to leave. we tried to reason with them that we only came for the films coming up (not really our fault that Ferris overran by 20 minutes) but still got kicked out. Once outside the queue was heinous and we left....very annoying

so yes BRING BACK THE CINEMA FIELD...thanks

It was lovely and cool in there when we popped in

In 7 years I'd never been to the outdoor cinema stage, but I think its better having it indoors, this year wasnt an issue but on a muddy year it'd be nice to know there was somewhere you could go inside for a bit

Have both.

The tent was good but you had to get there early and queue - we went for Bolt, and got told that once in we wouldn't be able to leave for a wee; given the number of small kids this seemed a tad ridiculous! Got turned away for Madagascar, on the Thursday, cos it was raining and packed.

The tent was just too small for the number of people at the festival!

I can totally see the appeal of an outdoor cinema as well.

They used to have both.  They've got rid of the outside screen and kept the tent.

I wanted to watch Ferris Bueller but I was the other side of site and didn't want to all the way there when was a good chance that I wouldn't get in, and even if I did it would be too hot.

I was giving them the benefit of the doubt before the festival but, having seen what they've actually done, I think it's a massive shame that outdoor cinema's gone.

Yes only since bringing my daughter have we watched films together as a special treat and last year we loved the outside cinema. Lots of room and being outside made it special. I hadn't been in the inside one before - with all its big slanting poles if you are not queued up at the start you are not going to get a good view.

We managed to get to see Mamma mia (Great atmosphere apart from one woman  in her char with her partner who asked the security guard to tell the people who couldn't get in but still waiting outside in the downpour to be quiet! Which he did!) But we were scattered all over - Daughter at front to get a good view. Me at the back trying to get my husband in and him outside in the thunderstorm ( I got him in in the end but it took some doing!) Also they cancelled I think the first 2 of the kids films on Thursday as we went along for Madagascar and it was off  and so was bedtime stories - not a real problem but a bit of a disappointment for my daughter.

The 2 of us also went down on Sunday for UP and queued nice and early - she again wanted to be near to front as possible this meant trouble for me as I had to try and get comfortable in a tight space - i specially positioned myself near an obstructing pole just to give my self a bit more room - It was hell for me - The film on the other hand was fantastic and I cant wait to see it again in comfort in October - very pleased they gave out the proper 3D glasses and cleaning wipes but as I was fidgeting near the end so much (down to pain) that i had to take mine off!

I say make room for both Indoor and Outdoor Cinema again next year PLEASE! otherwise I will probably give it a miss - it was mighty stuffy in there too.

Not really interested in the cinema or Cinema field, but did find it annoying about the entrance & exit being blocked by Camping for VIP's or who ever it was

thursday nights at the outdoor cinema used to be brilliant!

Every ither time I ever went to it though it was virtually empty. I guess they just thought such a large area wasnt receiving sufficient demand. A shame.

The warm weather this year would have helped with the outdoor cinema, previously it has been a bit wet and cold to sit out at night. That bloody fence also add miles to my weekend walking, all so some rich twats who hadnt even paid can get a nice spot and it wasnt even half full.
