i think u all need to get off ur high horses. its not news that its 25 and under. 'common sense' is a dumb thing to throw in the mix. people of all ages look older or way younger. hence this rule.
i dont know why all u people feel u are above the law and dont have to carry ID. i bet u all hurl abuse at staff aswell when they refuse to serve you. if u were the employee and had been trained on the fines u would ID everyone that looked under 25 aswell.... unless u think the 2k fine is loose change to ur pocket.
imagine if u serves an underage and it was a set up from watchdog... not only would u be in trouble but so would your company.... its so not worth it!
CARRY ID!!!!!!!

I have to say I agree...I'm sure Glasto would accept PASS cards etc if you don't have a driving license but I was IDed several times and when you can just smile and say 'of course' it's really not an issue. Better than that the site has license problems, god forbid!

Why not print the DOB on the ticket? I doubt anyone would throw it away as soon as getting the wristband. You wouldn't have to worry about losing your passport/driving licence or having it stolen - not to mention ID theft.

I have carried my driving licence every day since I was 17(nearly 22 now)and have never came close to losing it. Believe me, I've been royally f*cked in all manner of ways and still it stays in my pocket. No problem at all.Why not print the DOB on the ticket? Also the bad quality pictures on tickets would lead to abuse.

my mate who was 16 a couple of days before the festival didnt get ID once, and so he bought drinks for all of us over the weekend. My other mate who is 16 but looks about 14 used a fake ID and got away with it. :0

Well according to the WBC worker, we would get ID'd every single time we went to the bar if we looked under 21. It would be stricter than in shops. Not surprisingly, i never got ID'd once, my mates didnt get ID'd once and i didnt hear of anyone getting ID'd.
Though i always carry ID on me. I did once get asked if i was over 18 by someone at the shop when buying cigs. I said yes. And that was good enough for him.
