Was there a better way to spend a Friday (?) afternoon?

Saturday, after Rolf.
I couldn't agree more though about it being a perfect way to spend the afternoon. We sat outside munching on a scrummy lunch while they played

Excellent, Hey Jean sing-a-long was brilliant. Good old comedy performance, had everyone smiling and laughing. Well done the Hotpots, roll on Solfest!

pie_and_a_pint, on Jun 30 2009, 08:07 PM, said:That was about as good a double set as you could get. We were in front of District 6 so about 60 yards walk (hallelujiah!), Rolf was wonderful, then the Hotpots, of whom I'd only heard Chippy Tea before, were brilliant too, and could be heard easily on the grass outside the tent. And you had Avalon Bar with real ales. Life was good!I can proudly say that I dropped no litter. That's what the bins are for.
I did elbow a bloke in the ribs and call him a 'c**t' though... I asked his missus very nicely not to smoke right in my face (inside a tent, where she shouldn't have been smoking anyway) and when she turned round and told him he thought it would be funny to grind up against me. Wrong. Not funny at all, and if you're reading this, you picked the wrong bird: I WOULD have kicked you in the nuts if you'd not disappeared so sharpish...
Anyone else enjoy that Firewall song? Lyrics went something like "Now you've got a worm on C, I told you before about McAfee!"!!!

"Oh no, he's turning Emo, he's dressing like a Goth and he's let himself go, he used to be listening to Simply Red, now he's listening to Fall Out Boy instead..."

Indeed! I was on their forums before asking if anyone from Glasto was going over, not much response though!

It was while lying on a blanket outside Avalon, listening to the Hotpots playing the song about goths, that made me think Glastonbury really needs Half Man Half Biscuit back.
The Hotpots were good in an Ivor-Biggun-does-a-northern-version-of-the-Wurzels kind of way, but nobody does humour in music better than HMHB.

That's why I fear Ikea, I won't got there again. I don't want a bookcase called Billy or a table called Sven.
