In 2008 Trash City and Shangri-la were two of my favourite areas. I have read and heard a lot of positive reviews regarding the late night areas this year. However did anyone else find it more or less impossible to get to this year? I have never seen such queues. We succeeded in getting to Arcadia once on the Saturday night, alas just as we turned up all I heard was "Thank you Evil 9 and Thank you Arcadia see you tomorrow". We were forced to check out the bassline circues, which depsite being a visually fantastic tent did not appeal to me.

Most of the time we were in the Park for the late night sessions, I just love the Rabbit Hole, people moaning about the loss of Glastonbury spirit should check out the Park area on a late night.

I thought The Park, Trash City, Arcadia and Shangti La were all absolutely fantastic. I had no desire to visit the Pyramid or the other with so much good stuff going on there. All f**king wonderful and where glastonbury's true heart is.

it's a shame you had that experience.  we had some difficulty in the busy times but took a slow stroll up the railway line, hanging back a bit meant that we got in each time and had fab times.
it was a shame that Trash City didn't open on the Thursday.

Shargri La was amazing this year.  Loved all the little side streets.  Did anyone else find the drum machine room?

Trash City for me on Saturday night was incredible. I saw what you meant about the crowds though, mates couldn't get near it, I let them know what they missed though, I'm sure they appreciated that.

it was worth missing the headliners and going to this bit earlier. I did and have absolutely no regrets about it.

We managed to get to NYC Downlow for the first time this year..  it was well funny and very cool.  There seemed to be loads of stuff going on in Trash City, Shangri La and Arcadia this year..  I really enjoyed seeing Smokescreen in the Bassline Circus.. :D

The Rabbit Hole was ace.. loved the mad hatters tea party!

Didn't manage to make Trash City till Sunday night, couldn't be f**ked with the crowds.  Was finding Blur a bit boring, so left at the encore and headed over.  Pretty impressive stuff.

We managed to get in Arcadia and Trash City most nights.  Matt I was with who stayed to watch the full Springsteen set (I'm not a fan so left early) said that afterwards the railway line was mental but he still got in.

The drum machine room was good.  The TV's & Clock/radio's was setting my OCD off a bit though, just wanted to set them all!

Did anyone else see the guy in the beanie with the acoustic guitar and west country accent doing protest songs in one of the rooms on Saturday - the one that sold Bloody Mary's?  He was top class.

Absolutely amazing place.

Had to admit to missing the headliners in order to get there as it was all kicking off. Badlands was something else.

Like the area but can't be bothered with the crowds etc - needs a bigger space!

Yeah, I really liked that area - it had a very surreal feel to it.  And that drum machine room was great  - once we'd worked out how to use it :D

The drum machine was amazing!  Loved it.  My husband and I were stewarding by the Beard Parlour on Thursday which was a hoot - cheers for the free "Musketeer" guys.  Shame Bassline Circus wasn't open on Thurs night as we were due to work in there, but ended up just wandering around Arcadia and Shangrila, which frankly as work goes was a pretty good shift  :D

Intended to spend far more time down Shangrila, but as there was just toooooo much to see and do in the rest of the fest, didn't go there after Thursday night.

That's the joy of Glasto, you leave wanting more...until next year

Had a wiked time in The Dragstrip Saturday night despite Eagles Of Death Metal not showing up. Ques to get in did look horrific and put me mates off but it actually only took me 10 minutes to get in which ain't too bad. Will have to try The Park late night next year, and spend more time in Shangri-La, thats place was increadible. Although one night I did accidently stumble upon a secrete Lady Gaga gig, which was as odd as it was crap

Tried to get into NYC Downlow on Sunday night, my friends and I had shaved moustaches for that day anyway so thought we'd go for it. They said we had to buy £4 moustaches to get in. Basically a £4 entry charge to the place, they were really out of order so we left. Not in the Glasto spirit in my opinion. Rest of Trash City was great, Ed Cox in Doll's House was awesome.

It's pissing me off that I didn't get to see Arcadia in full swing as I loved Trash City the year before. Will have to make it a priority this year.

I went with a couple of noobs this year and I think I spent too much time worrying about showing her everything rather than finding my niche bit for the year.
