defo not, it was preactically empty behind the sound tower. i arrived just before they came on and go through to the tower with no problems. coulda moved further forward but i hear prod crowds r dangerous and it was sunday and i was tiiiired.I would have said Prodigy probably pulled the biggest crowd, and they were amazing too

But then having escaped the field still more people piling in both entrances
Should of have had security control it at this stage
Suprised people saying there was room around them - perhaps they should have asked everyone to take one step forward

For me the biggest crowd was Kasabian...
Bruce started busy but after half an hour or so it was quite easy to move around...
Honorourable mentions to Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen too for whom it was really chocker....
And of course Rolf... but I don't know how the capacity at Jazz World compares with the pyramid.

Personally, I thought the crowd for Blur was huge. I was on the road at the back and it was hard to get any further forward.
I think these posts show that it's just impossible to judge. It partly depends where you were in the crowd of course, if you were in the same spot for each name then you might be in a better position to decide. Even watching the highlights on tv it's not clear.

IRISHMANC, on Jun 30 2009, 02:57 PM, said:I got really bored during bruce so went for a wander, I was easily able to walk up the side of the field, there was loads of space on the side away from the cider bus, all the way back. And the path at the top was completely bare. By half way through the set I'm pretty confident I could have walked to the back of the sound desk with no problem, everyone was very spread out and the most chairs I've ever seen. These all seemed to have MASSIVE crowds
Dizzee
Bruce- although alot of people left mid set
Tom Jones
Kasabian
didn't see Blur but judging by the Prodigy numbers imagine it would have been them

I left Kasabian on the right side 10 mins early to go see Pendulum and the crowd was rammed right into the field with the Mandala bar it took ages to get through. I have never seen this area so busy before.
