The last time I went to Glastonbury the Park did not exist. After spending a fair bit of time there Wednesday & Thursday and watching a few bands when the festival started I can say I was really impressed. Plenty of stuff to do and a great place for the stage down in a bit of a valley. A much more friendly place than the Pyramid Stage - Full marks to Emily, nice to find a great place to hang out in a festival that has grown and grown over the years

HERE HERE, saw the horrors there and stood two rows from the front, awesome!

Agreed, it's by far my favourite stage and the whole area whas a lovely relaxed feeling to it.
Not knowing much about the Horrors, I didn't really enjoy their set. Do they always finish like that, just sort of wandering off and not bothering to actually end properly?

Loved the park too! The stage location at the bottom of the hill is fantastic for getting a great view.

Yeah, spent the early part of friday there. James Hunter was class, the lads from supergrass were good fun (pity they didn't play a supergrass "cover"), emiliana Torrini was good when she went for it (but a bit twee whe she didn't), and The Dead Weather were good (Jack is easily a better drummer than Meg), but there was a monumental diffrerence when Jack picked up the guitar for the last song. Met Zane Lowe there too, he was quite cool actually!

Amazing venue. The Horrors are the Park Stage was one of the most standout performances i think I have ever seen. I'll never forget it.

Yeah, it's definately one of my favourite places. It's just a shame there wasn't more bands on there that I wanted to see (only saw the Klaxons, and that's just because I fell for the rumours about Muse being the special guests, as if). I still spent quite a bit of time in that area though, mainly because I was camped right next to it. I went every morning to get the Q newspaper and some tea and toast.

Excellent over the last couple of years.
Vastly improved this year with the re alignment of the stage facing the hill.

I LOVE the Park - it's like a microcosm of the festival all in one place. Saw Zane Lowe there and it was fab - and the Bimble Inn is lovely too!

agreed. my first visit to the park and i *loved* it. really nice feel to it. saw the dead weather there and when Jack picked up a guitar for their final song, it was the highlight of the weekend for me (and it was only friday afternoon!).
