What a smashing day for it!
From the Worthy FM compound at the top of the site we're watching the happy punters come flooding in with their wheelbarrows and chariots, humping their stuff to their favourite bit of the site. And it's flippin' marvellous!
It's ace just standing at the top of the hill and watching the fields fill up with happy campers, as the fields change colour from lush green to a dappled bluey red from all the tents and sunburned revellers.
Be warned though, it's much hotter than forcast, and it's pretty dang hot in the sun. So without sounding like your dad, keep drinking loads of water, slap on the sun cream and try to keep your head covered, cos it's a proper scorcher!
The site's buzzing and it's getting proper exciting!
And of course, remember to stay tuned to Worthy FM on 87.7fm for all the campsite, traffic and queueing news!

Just had a look at the webcams and I can't see many tents......probably because most of them are hidden behind gazebos. So when the rest of us turn up there'll be precious little space to camp. I predict some gazebo rage.

Apparently there's supposed to be three buses going round in permanent rotation to Castle Cary, but obviously the traffic's a bit thick at the mo.
Nice work Themuel - keep us posted on how the traffic is where you are!
The joy of technology, eh!

In the past it's not been too bad, but every year more people bring gazebos. That's why they've been discouraged in the fine guide. Seems there are a fair few selfish types out there who want to spend a lot of time at their tents.....why, I've no idea - tents are for sleeping in, spend the rest of your time out and about!

Cheers man - that's the kind of news we need to hear.
You moving yet?
As for Shangri La - we can't see that corner from our compound, but looking out across the site the campsites are filling slowly and steadily, so there should be plenty of space still!

Has gone a bit windier and cloudier than forecast here in the campervan fields. Could this be the beginning of the forecasts proving wrong leading to el scorchio later in the festival?

do agree though, far too many people spend too much time at their tents
but, if space was an issue id happily do without a gazebo and wuldnt take one unless there was a big group of us going,
