Really, really sorry! I know that this puts a real dampner on the festival for you but try your best to focus on having a good time. So, so sorry!

That massively sucks. I know it'll be difficult but try to keep your mind off it as much as you can, as soon as you step onto the other side of the fence it doesn't exist for 5 days.

Sorry mate. All I can say is that at least at Glastonbury you might be able to put it to the back of your mind for a bit whereas if you were at home you wouldn't be able to escape from it.

Ouch. My commiserations. I suppose there was never going to be a good time. Make the most of Glastonbury. It only comes around once a year. All the other daily stresses will still be there when you get back!

no question.  you should still go.  they need some space...you need something that will occupy you and stop you dwelling on things.  it's a big shock and i'm sure you're gutted, but what good would you do anyone by staying at home?

hope you have a great time

That's tough and I really feel for you. But always what you need in times like that are your friends around you. And that's what you'll have at Glasto, not just the ones you go with but everyone there.

So sorry dude. Will be hard, but try and put it to the back of your mind for Glastonbury and have the best 5 days of your life.

That's terrible ! I'm sorry.
I suppose at least you can hope Glasto will bring your mood back up, rather than them dampening all the good memories you would've got from the weekend.

Seems like the worst thing ever at the time, but you have to look at your parents as ordinary people that both want to be happy and if thats the route they need to persue then you have to just help them both out.

I went through it when I was really young, so don't worry, your glasto chums are here for you!

Look at the positives, two lots of Christmas presents!  ;)

I got made redundant two days before Glastonbury in 2005 and once I got there I didn't even consider it once. You'll be fine (though staying off the weed might be an idea).

I feel in the same boat, I've had stuff on my mind that's been making me feel depressed and not excited which I'm not going to go into.  But then my mum rang me before and told me my grandma has been rushed into hospital and is probably not going to make it thru the night  B)
And now I'm just finding it next to impossible to muster up any sort of happiness or excitement for going ;)

Hey, while you're away for the weekend, maybe the time they have alone will help them patch things up?

Not a good time to get news like that! You've got to go and have your own
space to think about things, only last year at the festival my mate broke down
and told us his dad was dying of cancer of the pancreas, he'd only
found out a few days before, his old man told him to f**k off and enjoy himself at the
festie, so he did, he needed it!
