there has been a massive stream of "oh shit im f**ked, everything's gone wrong!" threads. i thought id make one for the people who have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and all their best plans have worked out.

Indeed, there was very nearly a point where I wasn't going to go because of a slight case of being dead, thankfully I slept it off and am fine now.
To be fair, I've been 'geordie bird on a hen night f**ked' for money all year, had to have my deposit back because I couldn't afford a ticket then got a last minute cancellation, have lived on noodles for the last 8 weeks to have ANY spending money and have just finished my last day of work before travelling down tomorrow. The sun is out, I'm a tad shtoned and could not be happier, really looking forward to partying in a field with all the good folk.

I lost my job about two weeks before last year. Then so did my Girlfriend (well she quit 'cos they wouldn't give her Glasto off) We still went with our last paycheques and had a brilliant time.
Then when it was all over reality hit hard. I spent six months unemployed and the debts racked up. I didn't even consider putting a deposit down 'cos I knew the rent had to come first.
I started a fantastic job in January, I'm a projectionist now
As the money started flowing again the tickets sold out
But what's this? a ticket day in April! Went through the whole T day thing as usual only to be shown the sold out screen
Then received an email with purchase confirmation!
We're going to Glasto!
