I canny wait - though will be missing the beginning if Madness are any good.

Aye I bought a suitable outfit for Madness, including a toy sax that blows bubbles!  Was gutted when the lineup came out and looked like they were on at the same time.

Then I realised Madness are a bit of fun, but they aren't Roots!  Fortunately it looks now like I'll be able to see a bit of Madness before darting down there.

Anyone else really looking forward to Roots Manuva?

I've been practising singing along to Witness (1 hope) all day!

Highlight of the lineup for me.
Yes mate, Witness is going to be one of the tunes of the weekend for me. Found the last album a bit poor to be honest, but they're always good fun live. Looking forward to it.

Im going just to see that lol

Ha ha, I can just about sing along sober, but by that time on a Sunday at Glasto I'll probably just about manage the chorus!

I remember after seeing him at Kentish Town Forum, 6 Music interviewed me outside, asking what was so good about him.  I tried to say something like "He blends Jamaican rythyms with English kitchen sink situations and humour, which I can identify with much more than the guns bitches and ho's of most Hip Hop".

Unfortunately being very drunk, I could only articulate "Well he's a bit Jamaican and a bit English, innit" and joined in with some other drunken blokes chanting "Witness the fitness / one hope one quest"!

They broadcast it on the music week too!

Roots Manuva will be doing a signing at the Songlines magazine tent after their set on the JazzWorld stage. The Songlines tent is just to the left of the stage - follow the yellow balloon!
