Ok here's my tip... I have in my freezer at the moment 45 cans of strongbow in boxes marked with a 2 and 20 Vodka and fruit juice (various flavours made up and frozen two weeks ago) early on Tuesday I will put in the other 30 strongbow that are sitting in the kitchen in the boxes marked 1. We drink the boxes marked 1 first and the boxes marked 2 after, last year they were still very cold on Sunday, not holding out hope past Saturday morning this year as the weather is going to be much warmer.

Last year out of 72 cans 4 popped/exploded they were still drinkable though slightly flat (We are not fussy!)

now that's what i call dedication to the art of a cold drink!

A quick squirt with a CO2 fire extinguisher will chill your cans nicely. :)

I foolishly got a crate of Stella. Stella is terrible warm, not much better cold like but still it is so hard to drink warm.

I've got Stellas too, I'm gonna hit the bars for a few b4 I neck my Stella, Warm Stella seems more palatable when you're half pissed. :)

Dig a cellar under your tent........6 to 8 foot will do....the closer to the water table the better. If you make it large enough you can lay down a few bottles of bubbly as well. Best bring a ladder to gain access as the spiral staircase is a bugger to dig into the soft earth.

P.S this can double up as a tiger pit for capturing sneaky tent thieves.

I know someone (me) who is a fish merchant and they are taking a van full of ice enough to last all week and better still it doesn't even smell of fish. (inserts smug face symbol)

Spend some time to make a "medieval fridge"...

All you need is two pots, some earth/sand and a cloth, if I remember correctly.
There are variations on the theme, but all are effective at cooling their contents to several degress below the outside temperature.

Oh, and if it's windy, even better.  :(

a few dark tarps covering my crates kept them cold last year. not quite chilled...but not far off tbh

i may bring a cool box this year and try filling it with water (tarps ontop) see if i can squeeze a few more degrees out.

Another way that I have tried before is using a hand towel. Make sure its wet and wrap the cans in the towel. Worked well when I have done it in the past. Think I read the tip on here a few years back.
