Take a bucket up with you or buy one there for a couple of £.
Fill the bucket up with water from the taps, then wack in the bucket several cans, do this each day and your drink will be nice and chilled.

will you carry that bucket in your rucksack or or just carry it by the handle or are you just going to stay at your tent all day?
Well worth having a nice refreshing tinny though every now and then during next weeks heat wave

Under your tent. The black cover keeps it cool and close to the ground. Thieves wont find it either. Handy tip I rarely share.

Easier way. Pay at a bar
EDIT: Not cheaper! I like your tip

great shout! You could also get one of those insulated can holders. They keep cool stuff cool and warm stuff warm.

did you know that because a can is pressurised, when you open it, the pressure (and therefore energy) inside the can is released and this should chill the can a few more degrees.
me and my mate foudn this out the hard way. we tried to quickly chill a few cans in the freezer, but forgot about them and froze them solid. we picked two out a few hours later. they were frozen solid, but when we opened them, they froze to our hands cos they got much colder. it was pretty painful, but ridiculously funny.

i have frozen a load of capri suns so they will surround all my cans etc and should keep them cool for a few days. Bringing one of those cool boxes too which we have insulated more with bubblewrap - not sure if that is going to help though. Plan to be buying drinks there on sat/sun so they will be cool

Last year I froze my plastic bottles of spirit mixers and they probably didn't warm up properly until Saturday afternoon.
Crate of beer I kept cool with a silver space blanket around it.

Ok here's my tip... I have in my freezer at the moment 45 cans of strongbow in boxes marked with a 2 and 20 Vodka and fruit juice (various flavours made up and frozen two weeks ago) early on Tuesday I will put in the other 30 strongbow that are sitting in the kitchen in the boxes marked 1. We drink the boxes marked 1 first and the boxes marked 2 after, last year they were still very cold on Sunday, not holding out hope past Saturday morning this year as the weather is going to be much warmer.
Last year out of 72 cans 4 popped/exploded they were still drinkable though slightly flat (We are not fussy!)

Great, I think I will try that, but can you not buy bags of ice from anywhere?
