Just youtubing some acts where ive got gaps in my lineup, but looking for something i can have a good bounce to a la download.
whats the heaviest sort of acts that i can look at. checked out f**ked up, but surely theres more rockier than that?

I have looked for the last couple of years but never really found much. Shame really.

Theres nothing much in the way of metal if thts what your after, there never really is. Brand New are playing the Other Stage, they should get you bouncing and if your really deperate and deaf enough, enter Shakari are on straight after I believe. Apart from that I'm not sure either

I think f*cked Up are the heaviest.. He is about 22 stone.

Pendulum are a kinda metal/dance crossover - should be kicking for them !
Back in 2007 we ducked into Leftfield to escape yet another downpour and caught the end of GoldBlade - they ROCKED big-time - just wish I had seen the whole set. Probably the heaviest act I have ever seen at Glasto !

yeah it is a shame. im not talking heavy metal circle pits, just something with a bit of meat about it. would be nice if there was a couple hidden there but there probably isnt

i saw brand new and thought i'd seen them. that was bright eyes though. i'll have a listen to them
enter shikari would mean missing the start of tom jones, but suppose thats doable.

a few of the more upbeat brand new songs is kinda what im talking about. sound like theyve got a lot of mellow stuff too.
*edit* pish, they clash wi priscilla ahn. the opposite of heavy that i want to see too

f**ked up and Brand New.
That's about it.
Some eejit on here complained once that he hated Art Brut because they were "too heavy" - but from that I can conclude that he must only listen to acoustic music

And if you like Pendulum, you should go see The Japanes Popstars - check them out on youtube - facemelter sounds crazy !
Also, Eagles Of Death Metal (Josh Homme) and Spinal Tap will have it cranked up to 11 !

I am just back from download - great festival!
But to answer your question, there is not usually any heavy stuff at Glasto. Occasionally some of the smaller stages have a band or two on, but its rare. (I remember there was one on a stage in the market area a couple of years back.)
The fact that Glasto has such a wide variety of music tastes, but always no heavy rock, makes me think its a deliberate decision. They used to - I seem to remember seeing Rage Against the Machine at Glaso once!
As someone else said, Pendulum should be good - they were at Donnington!
Anyways, there is always so much to see and do at Glasto without any metal
Have a good one!

Would love to see some heavier stuff add in the future, nothing mental heavy - just a bit heavier than light rock.
