Few rumours flying round about the 19.50 Park slot on the Saturday. Some people are going with Klaxons (rubbish), others with the Libertines (which would be good), and others seem to think Coldplay!!! (Not quite sure about that one).
Anyway .. I have it on good authority (insider) that it will be ...
*** DRUM ROLL PLEASE ***
SIR NOEL GALLAGHER!!!
How good is that .. see you at the front! I'll be the one with my teeny tiny manhood out
Peace & Profiteroles xxx

if that's actually true.... meh!

I'd love to see it happen, but I don't think it will. I'm not sure if I can be arsed to walk up there to discover it's someone I don't really like anyway.
Special guests are just for the lucky people that happen to be in the right place at the right time. I'd rather play it safe and go and see someone I know I like.

Why are people making up stuff all the time when we all know its going to be Derek Acorah?

Not a chance. If Noel even steps foot in Somerset on the Saturday night it'll be to watch Kasabian play and they're playing at the same time as the special guests. Isn't it more or less confirmed that Klaxons are doing it anyway? Be as far away as possible if so!

So, nobody special at all then?

yeah, its really not going to be him. why would he bother coming all the way to a festival he hates and is consistently crap at, just to play the one slot that clashes with his mates giving the performance of the decade.

Hardly special guests if it's 'confirmed'.Where has it been confirmed exactly?
Personally, there are a few acts I hope this is, Noel G would be good, but I saw Oasis a few weeks back. I'd like to see the Libertines.
What is with all the Oasis-bashing on here anyway? In fact, it's not even just here, people seem to take a dislike to them. I mean I dislike lots of music, but not enough to start posting how shit it is or how I'll be elsewhere. What is it about Oasis that creates this? Clearly they have enjoyed massive success and that is for a reason!

Florence and the Machine are on at the same time as the saturday special guest slot, so I'll be there instead.

I think it's partly the fact they've been essentially rehashing the same album year after year, partly the nadir that was their perofrmance in 2004, partly the the fact they've been blatantly nicking stuff from other bands from the get-go, but mainly because of the near-like god status that some of their monosyllabic idiot fans hold the band in.
Let's face it, the musical growth rate of the band can not even be charted. They are treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry.
And that's not just nit-picking.

Much as I have been underwhelmed by his band's output since 1996, if true this would still be a treat pre-Boss.

Aye, after all these years, still never seen him do a solo set. Definitely be going to this if it turns out to be true.
