I take some sandwiches for the first day and tend to eat them as soon as the tent is up, no real use for much else apart from crisps maybe because the food on site is reasonably priced and lovely :(

Used to take loads, but just tend to take breakfast food now. (apart from meat for the Wednesday night BBQ).

So much food on site is really good.

Chocolate bars are a good shout for energy, but we get lucozade tablets which are great in the morning.  Pretty cheap too.... I would reccomend mints tho :(

Good call.

Only reason I'm bringing my own food this year is because I need to save money so I aim to spend as little as possible.

So far on my food-to-bring list is Oreos, Peanut M&Ms and tinned Ravioli. Trying to think of some other things, hmm...

I'm pretty sure they are. I've never been before though so don't take my word for it.  :(

:(  I dont this last year as a very niave first time glasto-goer, they lasted about an hour.

Super noodles are brilliant for on site, can buy them in the stalls reasonably cheap aswell. As a filthy pennyless student this year I doubt I'll be buying too much food on site.

You have a stove?

Want to cook or just boil water?

I was toying with the idea of a ikle gas stove, but then saw Tesco have 2 for £5 on disp. BBQ's, so might just take a few of them instead and some money for the rest of the days to buy food there.  After all, who would refuse a bbq'd bacon and sausage butty firtst thing in the morning, not me mmmmmm :(

Oh by the way, i'd only be making breakfast so only taking sauages bacon ketchup and barms lol otherwise eating on site

We only usually take a few crisps, ceral bars and a stove and kettle with some cup-a-soups, coffee, tea and pot noodles, just for late-night an early morning snacks.

This is what we did a few years ago when money was tighter but we still wanted to live like kings (and queens):

Wednesday after set-up - sausage rolls, scotch eggs, pork pies and fresh fruit (all purchased at Tesco en route)

Wednesday night - stirfry (chopped the meat and veg at home beforehand, was fine in a coolbag)

Thurs morning - bacon, sausage, mushrooms and beans (didn't fancy attempting eggs on a camping stove though)

Thursday evening - casserole (made at home the weekend before and frozen - had been slowly defrosting in the coolbag since Wed morning and was just thawed but still very cold by Thurs night)

After that it was onto trusty tins. Apart from the obvious beans, spaghetti etc, don't forget tinned fruit and frankfurters!

I've posted this before, but I can thorougly recommend taking veggie 'meat' instead of the real stuff. Muuuch less of a risk of getting a funny tummy from anything being undercooked and it lasts a lot longer with no need to take anything to keep it extra cool.
