I don't wanna jump the gun too much as everyone is building up for the BEST WEEK EVER, but after having a fair few Glasto's under my belt i'm a firm believer that planning for AFTER the festival is just as important as all the planning you do beforehand.

There's been lots of similar threads in the past, most are based around (ideally) a nice bit of time off work to watch the BBC coverage and catch up friends, but what are your finer tips to help get back to ground with as little turbulence as possible?

This year i've got 4 whole days of which to do anything I want and I plan on making them go as smooth as possible. To get the ball rolling, Monday / Tuesday will go something like this..

- Be glad i tidied up before i left for the festival. Nothing better than a spotless house to come back to!
- Super warm bath
- Have my favourite meal on the Monday night.
- Fire up the iPlayer / Sky+
- Lager and cider in the fridge, cold as possible.
- A handful of pre-rolled spliffs, plucked from the mountain you did pre-fest.
- Make plans to meet up with your Glasto'ers in the pub on Tuesday/Wednesday
- Write a list of stuff to do / remember to take with you for 2010

- Also, view the craploads of flickr albums for photos of vague memories in better quality than you could have taken in your state.

LETS GET A COMPREHENSIVE LIST TOGETHER AND GLASTO 2009 CAN BE A TEN DAY AFFAIR!!

About the same as yours, with the addition of doing some photo-sorting and video-editing. But perhaps not on the Monday - that's still holiday time, and time to kick the feet up and enjoy "civilisation" after the mini-expedition that is Glasto.

Edited to say that I'll still have Lovebox, the Radiohead day at Reading, a best mate's wedding in Barcelona, and a six-week trip to South America to look forward to in the next six months following the festival, so I can console myself somehow...

I was going to go to a University Taster Course on the Monday for Philosophy, but I don't see that actually happening now :)

So, will have a long hot shower, sleep then go out and have a post-glasto party with my friends ;)

i never end up doing what i say i will. last year after latitude i made a bit dinner of fried vege's with my gf then went to bed at about 7pm. when i got back from reading i played a gig with my band about half an hour after i got back. i hadn't even showered and i was covered in sweat and mud and abvsolutely knackered.

i think we had a party the night we got back from reading in 2007. i woke up at 7am on the stone floor in my kitchen. i hadn't even drank much, i was just exhausted.
this year i am thinking somethign along these lines-

1. drink loads of water
2. eat loads of fruit
3. shave
4. brush teeth twice
5. shower
6. make vege stir fry and eat it
7. half a pint of ale
8. watch some glasto on tv with my mates
9. get an early night

i am going to be hitting the medicine cabinet pretty hard at glasto so my aim this year is to be well enough by wednesday to enjoy my birthday.

I usually snap out of my depression at least 15 minutes before the noose goes around my neck :-)

The you that is writing now will be consumed by all that is Glasto and is never going to leave the field.

The you that leaves on Monday is going to be a new you, who doesn't exist yet.

Post-festival plans are an illusion!

Monday 28th June 2010 I have booked 4 days at Centre Parcs Longleat!

I just hope I get tickets for glastonbury 2010 :)

I also hope I've got the dates right!
