I don't suppose anyone knows the postcode for Gate A do they? We've booked a coach ourselves this year and just after it so we go in the right bloody entrance!

The key thing is that people make the right choice immediately after coming in. Very easy to get it wrong for those trying somewhere new, or who have't been before. More fiddly to correct this year, and every 100m counts!

Private coaches aren't normally allowed to drop at Gate A - plan on heading to Bath & West showground instead. Shuttles from there run to PGA.

Another question:

If I'm camping in Home Ground (above pyramid stage), which car park should I head for? In the past we end up in one at random, and have either had to walk:

1. Down a hill, and into the site, walking past cabaret field, left field, then up pyramid field. This seems like closest car park.
2. Right across from other side past other stage.
3. Across the top, past cinema, JP stage, and mandela bar.

I've no idea which carpark/gate any of these are, so any suggestions as to best one to head for that's closest to Home Ground? Postcode would be good too!

Home Ground, by the farm, is no longer public camping. It was turned over to production last year.

If you want to head for that area, I'd recommend Blue Route > East Car Parks > Gate C.

Sorry you keep gettng bombarded with all these questions but Ive just got a quick one! Its our first glasto and we're getting the shuttle bus from castle cary to gate A. We're hoping to camp in Penards/Park Home Ground and just wondering whether its quicker to go through gate A and follow the signs or to walk round the perimeter to gate D?

Does this mean we have to go around the top of the old cinema field now? Because I always used to walk pretty much straight across it in a diagonal line and then through the footpath in the middle of the nature reserve (which does have a tendency to get a little muddy)

I'm hoping we can skirt along the bottom.

Definitely don't walk around the perimeter, it's massively faffy, if not impossible. Once you're inside the gates everything becomes easier!
Also, the walk from A to Pennards is one of the best for newcomers as you go through the dance village, which on a sunny Wednesday is amazing!

We usually camp in the triangle just south of where the cinema field used to be - is this still public camping? I haven't been able to tell

So does this mean that the road/track that use to run down from Lime Kiln past Spring Ground, then behind old cimena screen and then into Lower Mead has gone?  

A bit gutted if this is the case

Have the locations of the longdrops changed as well ?
There was one last year in the trees near the indoor cinema.
And one at the other end at the screen end of the field.
If the cinema field is now for crew camping have those been moved  or fenced off ?

Thinking of camping towards bottom of Wicket this year.
The fine guide map shows just one TW for all of Wicket & Lime Kiln & Hitchin.
Surely thats not right ?

Roughly how long will it take from Gate A to the Pennards? Just thinking of the time I'll have to carry my stuff.

Ooo I have a quick question too that hopefully someone can answer. Wanting to enter through Gate A this year, have gone in through D previously. Are the queues to get your wrist band much longer at A because of the volume people arriving from the busses/coaches?

Hello,

There's quite a big group of us heading down this year, so we're hiring a private coach. we're planning on camping at Big Ground...

However, because it's a coach, I'm assuming we need to go to the drop off and collect point?

I've never done this before, as I've always gone by car and parked. Any pointers?
