bit late now, but there always seems to be a stall in town centres selling all kinds of bags, even cheap suitcases, where I usually get things like small rucksacks, for about a fiver...

Recycle is the name of the game

Get a guardian on the first day, last couple of years it comes in a cloth drawstring bag/mini ruck sack thingamy, its just about the right size, though the 'strings' could be a bit longer (I prefer to wear mine snapsack style across one shoulder with the bag resting in the small of the back).

you need some sort of bag: just enough to carry enough cans as you can fit, your waterproofs etc.

I take a little daysack I got from Walmart. Asda/etc. probably have similar.

Holds programme, bottle of water, any other crap I pick up along the way.

Ok, I'm going with the general opinion that £30 is excessive. Any idea where best to look? Like I say, argos looks to be of no use.

J b sports currently have a sale on. Small karrimor backpacks reduced to £9.99 from £30.00. Think they may only have stores in North west though.

Get a drawstring bag - you can stick a hoodie in them at night and they double up as a pillow.

I still use one of them textile type promo bags they give at the gates for carrying my tinnies. Camera goes on the belt and the rest of things in various pockets.

That is so cool !

:D

I want one , not for Glasto tho , its too nice !

The strange thing is, I guess because of the excellent public transport over here, that most people carry bags, so it's something I already do on a day-to-day basis.  I have a smashing range of man/unisex bags..  H&M always seem to be a good source!

I suppose people just dump stuff in their cars in the UK.   :D

What realy p!sses me off sometimes at Glasto is people who wear medium sized backpacks whilst watching a band, and then either stand stock still with them on, or jig around with them on, oblivious to the faces they are mashing with them...    :D

Drawstring bags for keeping stuff secure, not a good idea.

Always go for some kind of combination with velcro.
You are much more likely to feel and hear someone attemping baggery robbery with a secure velcro fastening.
