+1 Ill be taking my phone with net connection for this reason, as well as many others, like if you lose people, need to meet people who get there late to help them with their stuff etc.  Last year i got back home and saw posts on here about secret guests and was gutted i didnt check,  I hope not to be in the same situation this year.  

+ If i lose my misses ill be going mental if i cant get in touch with her

They do, but you can only uswe them after the music stops or the sound dips.

...some people might like to check their exam results etc online while they are at the festival...I know if mine were available I'd like to know (it's been a long time since I did an exam mind you...the internet was barely invented then!)...I've a big grant application result due out over the festival, I'd like to know if it was successful, so if I don't find out before I go I'll certainly be checking it somewhere (probably on my phone though). Also, for those not from the UK but on pay as you go phones, the internet is a handy way of topping up credit when you run out (since you can't buy it onsite any other way, and some providers don't to text top-ups while roaming)...so there's loads of reasons to want to remain connected!
