The monorail joke might initially appear cliquey, however I read a post asking a question about it, and after reading the first two tongue in cheek answers, I understood the joke.
It works as a funny forum joke rather than alienating newbies and being a cliquey joke.

You know I blame Neil for my mental condition. I was supposed to be in a psychotherapy group to deal with my confidence and relationship issues, but instead I stayed here and post whored on the internet.
There are a few truths in there somewhere, but I will let you lot worry about that

Linguistic snobbery aint too nice, but:

Fortunately don't see too much of this on here.

In my defence I have yet to start a thread on anything irrelevant, or indeed to start a thread.
I have not posted a picture of a cat either, but hat is more due to technical incompetence than anything else.
Also, doesn't Neil go off topic now and then? Telling Lily is the princess to go for a w@nk springs to mind.
i think you should pop your thread-starting cherry, doc! go on, start one now

...bizzarely, the only person who ever texts me in text speak is my mother! (and she's in her 60's)...I'm not quite sure where she picked it up from, as nobody else in the family would ever use it...I find it quite amusing sometimes trying to figure out what exactly she's trying to say....I often have to ring just to get the text translated.

Think I may just wait until I have dreamt up the thread to end all threads. Save myself for that special moment.

just get it over and done with, its nasty and messy and quick and not very good the first time but once you've done it a few times it'll be second nature.
