Due to me working I did not get the opportunity to sort out the port and cheese meet.

However I am thinking along the lines of a "picnic" type of meet next year.

Edit: One year I organised a bbq for a different message board and through the evening we fed nearly 40 people I think :P

Shame the meet didn't go ahead (but not much of a shame in that I don't feel I missed out on too much fun either!)

Currently flying solo for next year so non-efest influences shall be at a minimum - may need to go to as many meets as poss so as not to feel alone for too long at a time!

Picnic could work - although it goes without saying that it would need to be heavily influenced by a multitude of cheese  & bread - lots & lots of lovely bread...mmmmmmm...

A nice slice of cheddar
Double Gloucester is redder
Some nice bits of brie
The shits affect me
A fine mix of stilton
For those dicks at Pilton
Take the fort from the rock
The best cheese from my cock
A ball of Red Leicester
Let the cock cheese fester

Rufus,

I am deeply offended that you have brought this thread back, when last glasto, being an eager little newb that I was, I took 2 kinds of cheese and port with me for a cheese and port meet which never happened!!

Fortunately when mashed hombrederayo and I enjoyed the cornish yarg under the gazebo at CT, when you were nowhere to be found!

If I didn't love you, you would be in trouble!

:P

Aw I am still so sorry. I can't organise a meet as I never know what I will be doing. Mind do I ever know what I am doing..

I really am hoping to sort something like a little picnic this year, but I will wait until I know when everyone is arriving etc :P Something around the eFestivals Football could work :P

I does have a certain charm to it does it not??

I was thinking of bringing my wicker basket and a gingham dress picnic blanket.

I love cheese, especially when not drinking. Now I don't have the option of taking an ice box with me, but I usually will take a nice camembert or even some Stilton with me. But has anyone any ideas of a different cheese, that doesn't mind getting warm, or even where I can buy cheese on site. Someone said there was but I am unsure.

And so saw the return of the cheese thread - woooot!
Fingers crossed for a cheesy picninc this year - although any stinking bishop will HAVE to be consumed on the Wednesday for fear of unchilled reeking stench. Mind you saying that, after 5 days of en mass non-washing, an over ripe one might be a welcome waft for some? hmmm...
