It's official the are playing and I for one is beyond excited, after watchng their perfomance at Download they are going to bloody fantastic!!!

The only thing is now how the hell they gonna fit in the NME tent and will they get a double slot as an hour is just not enough, it just isn't!!!

There's only 10 announced on the Friday as opposed to the normal 11, I wonder if they'll get the extra tiime, or someone will be added. There's 11 on the LP day so far, 10 on the Gossip day, they are supposedly joint headlining with Glasvegas, so maybe will have slightly extended sets too and we will only get the 10 bands on those days.

yeah was just looking at that myself should be interesting to see what they do?!! if FNM get 1hr 30mins we will pretty much get same set as DL one as that was something like 1hr 38mins

I watched FNM on the webcast from download, it looked amazing, glad theyre doing reading, gonna be a highlight for me, a greatest hits albums coming out soon for them, gonna get myself into their stuff

Why would they get a double slot??? manics didnt get one and they are far more popular than faith no morein this country with far more hits. Im sure the tent will be busy as with most headliers but im not sure it will be any more packed than when lost prophets play.

i'd guess it has something to do with fnm being fresh back, doin headlining shows all over europe, whereas manics are on their way down (even manics fans will agree this, in terms of popularity), poor bastards don't even get offered 2nd headliner anymore.

Also, i imagine anyone wanting to see faith no more wants to see them for as long as possible

At this point in time, FNM are alot bigger than Manics were last year.
Im not saying overall manics arent more popular, but with this being there first tour in years, and maybe even their last, they have the ability right now to sell out venues bigger than Manics could

I agree that faith no more are a bigger draw in this country where as the manics are going to convince more britsh people to put their hands in their pocket and buy a single or album and in a rock specific fesitval like downloiad I can understand why they headline. However to the mainstream crowd who go to reading/leeds i would say manics are every bit of a draw.  Another thing to consider is the fact that fnm clash with kings of leon who are the most popular headliner and possibly the biggest band in britain at presnet. i stand by my opinion that lost prophets will get the biggest crowd and there is no bias here as i cant stand the band.

I was speaking more of the extended slot though, the current hype and excitement around the reunion, i think it would be more sensible for them to have one.
